Nepal Trekking>>Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trekking

Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world lies on the eastern border of Nepal with India. The trek provides you to experience the remoteness of this region, romantic mountain views, diverse flora and fauna and rich local culture. This trek is considered as a non-technical trek and suitable for average people. If you are moderately fit and have a sense of adventure will enjoy this trek. The program is designed to acclimatize you gradually and not expected high altitude sickness. However you are requested to check your altitude fitness and the itinerary. We suggest you to strengthen your knee muscles and prepare for several days of steep descents.
Some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, biking or aerobics is recommended, but mostly hiking on steep hills or running up and down steps are preferable. Please note that the following program is prepared in the fact basis however can be change in some circumstances but adjustments will have to made during the trekking. We request you to be flexible with the situation to enjoy yourself. As the trek is designed for camping arrangement, everything is handled by our team of porters, sherpas and cooks who carry the equipment, assemble and dissemble the camp and have hot meals waiting for you at every food break.

Day 03 Kathmandu flight to Biratnagar overnight at hotel
Day 04 Biratnagar Fly to Suketar trek to Phurbu
Day 05 Phurbu trek to Chirwa (1190 M )
Day 06 Chirwa trek to Sekathum (1640 M)
Day 07 Sekathum trek to Amjilessa (2490 M)
Day 08 Amjilessa trek to Gelpa called Chapla( 2730 M)
Day 09 Gelpa trek to Gunsa (3430m)
Day 10 Rest day for acclimatization
Day 11 Gunsa trek to Kambachen (4040m)
Day 12 Kambachen trek to Lhonk (2790m)
Day 13 Lhonk trek to Pang pema (Kanchenjunga Base Camp) (5140m)
Day 14 Pang pema trek to Lhonak (4790m)
Day 15 Lhonak trek to Gunsa (3430m)
Day 16 Gunsa trek to Sinion Phedi or Selele Kharka
Day 17 Sinion la, Margin la & Selele pass camp at Tseram (3870m)
Day 18 Tseram trek to oktang base camp (Kanchenjunga base camp) back to Ramche (4620m)
Day 19 Ramche trek to Torontan
Day 20 Torontan trek to Omje Khola ( 2340m)
Day 21 Omje Khola trek to Mamanke (1810 M)
Day 22 Mamanke trek to Kande Bhanjang

Cost Inclusions in Tea House & Tented Camp
• Airport transfers, welcome upon arrival and departure after completion of trip.

Cost Exclusions in Tea House & Tented Camp
• International airfare to/from home city and international Airport departure taxes
• Domestic flights & domestic airport taxes as per itinerary
• Excess baggage charges
• Food and Accommodation while you are off the trip.
• Sightseeing and entrance fees Temple & monastery as per itinerary
• Climbing permits as per itinerary & Royalty for restricted area.
• Nepal entry visa costs (~$30.00) and visa extension fees (three days transit visa you will get free upon arrival)
• Travel, trek and expedition medical and evacuation insurance
• Emergency evacuation charges, if required
• Personal expenses (e.g. phone calls, laundry, alcohol, soft drinks, bottled water, souvenirs, etc.)
• Tips must be required for the staffs because this is the sign of the guest happiness at the end of the trip. It has been establish a custom say "Baksis"
Any loss due to unforeseen circumstances such as flight delays, road blockage due to landslide, etc the over come expenses need to take care trekkers themselves
